Our exceptional instructors deliver high-quality dance training that blends the latest cutting-edge styles with a strong classical foundation. We are committed to upholding our long-standing tradition of instructional excellence by providing age-appropriate curriculum and thoughtfully designed costuming.

Directors

Chalee Rawlings

Owner and Director

Chalee has one main goal as a dance teacher, it is to instill a love of dance into all who enter the studio. She consistently strives to teach her dancers to encourage each other as they express who they are through dance. She focuses on unity at the studio and creates an atmosphere of fun, safe learning for every student that walks through the door.

Leigh McGill

Adiministrative Director

Leigh loves to dance… even if it’s just dancing in the house with her family! They moved from San Diego to Utah 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the area and Energy Dance Co! Leigh grew up dancing in San Diego at a small local studio where she learned tap, ballet and jazz. She then attended San Diego State as a dance major! Along with teaching, she’s stepping into an administrative role to help support the growth and success of our studio.

Kyly Saunders

Competition Team Director

Kyly has been dancing for 22 years and teaching for 9 years. She has choreographed multiple 1st place routines, Judges Choice awards, and solo overall awards. She is gifted in working with young dancers and making dance fun! She is looking forward to teaching your children to love dance as much as she does.

I’m Anna Fankhauser and I’m so excited to get to know you this year! I want us to be able to grow as dancers and become the best versions of ourselves that we can. I have been dancing my whole life and I’m so excited to share what I’ve experienced with all of you. I cant wait to jump into the year and give it all our energy!

Aspen Brown

Dance Instructor

Aspen has been dancing for 15 years and teaching for 5. She is currently on Weber States dance team and wants to help each dancer grow and feel at home when they are in class.

Brecklyn Talbot

Dance Instructor

Hi my name is Brecklyn and I am so excited to be teaching this year. I have been dancing since I was 3 and started comp team at 8. I am now on the drill team at Ogden High for my 3rd year.

Chalee Rawlings

Chalee has been teaching dance for 18 years, and has been the owner of Energy Dance Company for 12 years. She wants to share her joy of dance with everyone who enters the doors at Energy! Chalee strives to create an environment that is encouraging and uplifting where dancers feel free to grow and express themselves through the art of dance.

Christon Critchlow

Dance Instructor

Christon has been trained in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballroom, musical theater, tumbling, and cheer. She has choreographed many high placing routines while working at EDC the last 13 years, including several Overall High Point, Judges Choice routines, and Best Choreography Awards. She has a passion for the arts and is excited to be able to inspire children to love, create, and express themselves through dance.

Hannah is excited to start her 8th season teaching with Energy. Dance has always been a passion of hers and she loves sharing that passion with her students. Jazz is her favorite style, but she has grown a new love for lyrical over the last few years. Hannah’s favorite part about teaching is watching my students learn new skills and improve each week. She can’t wait to kick off another dance season!

Kemayla Smith

I began dancing at age two and competed with Energy for 8 years. I have worked at Energy for 10 years, and I’m excited to work with teams this year

Krissy Dunn

Dance Instructor

Krissy has been dancing for 24 years and teaching for 14 years. She was a High School Cheer coach, and taught dance and tumbling as well. Krissy danced for the NBA (Utah Jazz) for 5 seasons and absolutely loved it! She lived in India for 2 months where she danced for the national cricket tournament which aired on ESPN India! Krissy loves children and is excited to share her passion with the children at Energy!

Krista Shively

Dance Instructor

Krista started dancing at the age of 5 and has since taught at pre-professional ballet studios in Arizona and Utah. Her goal in teaching is improving technique while having fun. She gets great pleasure in watching her students grow as dancers and amazing people.

Kya Boswell

Dance Instructor

Kya has been dancing and tumbling since she was 3 years old. She was on competition teams at Energy for 6 years and competed in power tumbling for 6 years where she won several awards at State. Kya cheered 2 years at North Layton Jr High and 3 years at Northridge High School. She was also captain of the Northridge Dance Company her senior year and awarded 2019-2020 Dance Sterling Scholar. She has taught at Energy for 5 years and loves it! Kya has a passion for dance, tumbling, and cheer and loves teaching!

Kyly Saunders

Kyly found a passion for dance at a young age and has been sharing that with others ever since. Kyly is the Competition Director at Energy Dance Co, and loves working with the teams. Competitive dance teaches our dancers so many life skills and she loves sharing that with her dancers. Kyly loves watching students develop into amazing humans because of dance. She cant wait to spend another amazing year with all of these dancers.

Leigh McGill

Dance Instructor

Leigh started dancing 30 years ago and instantly fell in love! She has done all styles but loves tap and ballet! Leigh started teaching in San Diego, and when she moved to Utah she found Energy and it has been her dance family ever since! Leigh hopes to inspire her dancers to love dance just as much as she does!

Lindsay Pentecost

Dance Instructor

This is my second year with Energy and I love being a part of this dance family! My favorite part is seeing our dancers grow in confidence, skill, and joy from day one to recital day. The bonds they form in class and the way they encourage each other when they are learning something new is so fun to watch.

Makenna Hall

Dance Instructor

I have been tumbling and dancing since I was 3 years old. I have competed at several dance and cheer competitions and won many awards! I cheered at South Ogden jr High for 1 year and at Bonneville High the last three years. This is my second year being captain of my cheer team and I was awarded MVP last year. This is my first year teaching at energy and I couldn’t be more excited to teach and learn all about you!

Mckelle Gallegos

I found my love for dance at 4 and I haven’t stopped loving it. I did competitive dance for 12 years. I truly enjoy watching the students bring my choreography to life And I’m so excited to be apart of the energy team.

Michelle Woodward

Dance Instructor

Michelle has been teaching dance for 20 years, beginning with teaching in her parent’s basement when she was a senior in high school! She grew up competing in dance competitions in UT, AZ, and CA and continued on to dance in college at Dixie. She is upstanding and dependable. Michelle has judged many dance and cheer tryouts and competitions over the years. She is certified in Progressive Ballet Technique and has been teaching it for 3 years. Michelle’s goal as a teacher is to help young dancers learn and love the art of dance.

Molly Underwood

Dance Instructor

Hi! My name is Molly Underwood. I grew up training in all styles of dance since the age of 3 in Sandy, Utah. She is currently a second year member of the Weber State University Dance Team. Prior to joining the WSU dance team, Molly was a 4 year member of the Hillcrest Drill Team. She served as Co Captain her sophomore and junior year and as Head Captain her senior year. When I am not dancing I love being with my friends and family and doing any activity outside! I cannot wait to join the Energy family this year!

Sydney Daugherty

Dance Instructor

Sydney has been teaching dance for 6 years and was an assistant teacher for 3 years prior at Energy Dance Company. Her goal is to have each child come to dance wanting to learn more every day. Sydney loves watching her dancers discover their love for dance.

Tenlie Jones

Dance Instructor

Tenlie started her dance training at center stage performing arts studio then continued at aspire dance academy under their pre professional company and then at synergy dance academy for 7 years. She was a member of the herriman drill team where she served as the service officer. She was a member of the Utah all state drill team for the year 2022-23. Tenlie is currently a rookie on the Weber state dance team. She loves dancing and sharing her love with others and can’t wait to start teaching with energy.
