This is for Recreational Classes & Prep Teams ONLY. Comp Teams do not perform at Recital Preview

WHEN: SATURDAY MAY 19TH

TIME: 5-6:15pm (Dancers arrive at 4:30pm)

WHERE: TH Bell Jr High School Gymnasium 165 W. 5100 S. Washington Terrace, UT

This is a casual performance we hold in preparation for our BIG SPRING RECITAL at WSU. The recital preview is for our Prep Team and Recreational classes ONLY. This gives the dancers a chance to get on stage and get their jitters out before getting on the big dark stage at WSU. You will notice a huge improvement in the dancer’s performance at WSU, and we attribute that to this small low-key performance. Due to the small space, we encourage parents only at this event.

Dress Rehearsal

Saturday May 12th @ Energy Dance Company

Please arrive on time with your costume on and hair and makeup done as if it is the recital. This is a closed rehearsal- Parents are not allowed. If you have a costume change, please come in your first costume, and bring your others. Please bring water. Prep Team 2 & 3: pack a sack lunch and clothes to wear over your costume to eat in. If you are in a class with multiple tights- please wear your tan tights on the bottom (you will not take these off) and put your pink ballet tights over the top. You should never be “bottom-naked” in the dressing room.

THE DAY OF RECITAL PREVIEW

Saturday May 19th

• DANCERS: Arrive promptly at 4:30pm. Dancers are required to sit with their class for the entire show. Find your class immediately upon arrival and stay with them after you perform. Parents can pick up your dancer when the entire show is over. This is practice for our recital in June when all dancers will perform in a Finale number at the end of the recital.
• PARENTS:Please drop off your dancers, have a seat and enjoy the show. You may help with costume changes if needed (dressing rooms are located up the stairs to stage left, or right of the stage). Seating will open at 4:30pm.
• ENTRANCE:This performance is free for parents to come watch!  Each dancer paid a $5 performance fee to help cover the cost of the venue.
• DANCER DROP-OFF: Upon entrance, find an Energy Dance staff member and we will direct you where to go.
• DANCER PICK-UP: After the entire show is over, you may pick up your dancers. If your dancer performs in ACT 1, please pick up your dancer in the front of the stage. If your dancer performs in ACT 2, please pick up your dancer in the hallways behind the stage.
• PARENT VOLUNTEERS: We need a few volunteers to sit with classes and watch the show during the ACT that they are NOT performing in. You will be sitting on the ground in front of the stage. Please let me know ASAP if you can help.
